What's a guild?
A guild is a group of players who want to play together under one name. Members wear the guild's uniform, a short tag like "WoS", which other players see beside their name in the game's MAP list (coloured by whether the guild is yours, an ally or an enemy).
Founding a guild
Incarnate the soul that will lead the guild and pick Guilds > Create New Guild. The game only lets experienced souls do this (level 60, a long play time, no cheat or mod characters; Golden Souls are exempt from the play time). On the page that opens, choose the uniform and a password. The uniform must be unique and cannot be changed later; 3 to 5 characters works best. Keep the password: you need it to accept members and edit the guild. A player can found one guild at a time.
Joining a guild
Right-click a player wearing a uniform and choose to petition that guild. You are put on its petitioner list until the guildmeister gives you a rank (or rejects you). Then Guilds > Pick Guild Uniform lets you put the uniform on. A soul may belong to several guilds but wears one uniform at a time. Some guilds have rules: no other guilds, one character per player, or closed to new members.
Accepting petitioners
Open your guild's page, click a petitioner's name and change the rank from "Petitioner" to any title you like. Two titles are reserved: "Petitioner" puts the soul back on the petitioner list and "Reject" puts it on the reject list.
Quitting
In Guilds > Pick Guild Uniform, select the guild and press Quit Guild. This also withdraws a pending petition. The guildmeister cannot quit; the guild can be deleted from its Edit Guild Info page instead.
Staying active
Wearing a uniform for 20 minutes in one session reports you to the guild and keeps you and the guild active. Members idle for 30 days are listed as inactive; a guild with no active members is listed under INACTIVE GUILDS.

Be civil
Keep uniforms, names, ranks, credos and logos free of offensive content, and only use images you have permission to use. Guilds that abuse the service may be removed.
