Return to the Well is a community project by Starix(@Grun): a new client for Well of Souls, the ReMix server beside it, and the services the game needs to stay online: this web site, the guild service, the world catalogue and the update feed.

It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Synthetic Reality, who made Well of Souls. The worlds belong to their authors.

What do I need to play?

A Windows PC or a 64-bit Linux desktop (X11 or Wayland, glibc 2.39 or newer). Download the build for your system from Downloads and follow Getting Started.

Where are my saves?

In the Save folder beside ReBreather.exe (ReBreather on Linux). Copy it to keep your souls safe.

What is ReBreather?

The engine the game runs on, written for this project. That is why the program is called ReBreather.exe on Windows and ReBreather on Linux.

Is ReMix a separate download?

No. Every download includes it.
